Ms. Markarian was born in Tbilisi, Georgia and is fluent in Armenian, Russian and English. When she was seven years old her family moved to Brooklyn, New York in pursuit of a better life and after living in Brooklyn for seven years, the Markarian family moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. Ofelia attended Northern Arizona University where she obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Merchandising and Public Relations. She was an active member of Northern Arizona Merchandising Association where she served as President. Before attending law school, Ofelia worked in high end fashion where she learned the importance of establishing personal relationships with clients.
Ofelia attended Arizona Summit Law School and graduated 4th in her class. During law school, she served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Hugh Hegyi, in Maricopa County Superior Court, as well as serving as an intern for the Never Again Foundation.

Trial Experience
Following law school, she interned for Goodman Law Group and Palazzo Law Firm, that focused on criminal cases, which provided her with extensive trial experience. Prior to the formation of Ofelia Markarian Law Group, she represented a broad spectrum of clients at a prominent general practice firm, in Las Vegas. Ofelia handled family matters involving complex divorces, complex equitable distribution settlements, alimony, pre-nuptial agreements, child custody as well as a broad range of complex civil litigation, including personal injury, medical malpractice, and business disputes. She represented companies such as Las Vegas Sands Corp. and others, handling matters from small conflicts to emergency court hearings. Ms. Markarian always fought for and still fights for the interests of her clients both in and out of court.
